Two women who are said to be best friends have fought bitterly after discovering that they were dating the same man. Yeukai Antonio is involved in constant fights with her friend Lisa Musanhiwa for allegedly snatching her husband, H-metro reports.
Speaking on the incident, Antonio says Musanhiwa visits her house to cause violence and at some point she approached her while she was carrying her baby on her back and provoked her to fight. “Musanhiwa comes to my house to cause violence and in December last year, she came to my house and damaged my dishes. On December 25 last year, she came to my house again and pushed me when I wanted to go out and I did not retaliate. At one point she approached me and provoked me while I was carrying my baby on my back and I gave the baby to someone else and we started fighting,” she said.
Antonio also stated that Musanhiwa used to be her friend, but their friendship became sour when Musanhiwa started dating my husband. “We used to be friends and church-mates and sometimes she would come to my house to teach me verses, but the friendship turned sour when I found out that she was having an affair with my husband.
Antonio opened at the civil court where she was seeking for a peace order against Musanhiwa. Musanhiwa, however, denied the accusations. “I am not having an affair with her husband, but her husband is my former boyfriend as we dated long back before he got married to Antonio. We fell in love in 2011 and we broke up in 2012 and in 2014, Antonio got married to the man in question. The problem with Antonio is that she is listening to rumours that are being spread by people that I am having an affair with her husband,” she said. Musanhiwa further told the court that Antonio insults her whenever they meet, calling her a prostitute.
“She insults me whenever we meet and on December 26 last year, she approached me to the company of her friends and started insulting me calling me a prostitute who wants to infect her husband with some disease. We used to be friends and I would visit and teach her songs from our church but eventually it changed when she started listening to grapevine,” she said. Presiding magistrate Yeukai Dzuda granted the application for peace order in Antonio’s favour and Musanhiwa was ordered to observe peace with her all the time

The management of a private school on Wahab Larinde Street in the Mafoluku, Oshodi area of Lagos, was thrown into mourning after the death of an 18-month-old pupil on Monday. According to Punch Metro, the deceased identified as Memunat Lamidi, who was said to be in the crèche section of Bessie International School, was reportedly hit on the school premises by a Toyota Litace, owned by the school. It was gathered that the girl was with one of the gatekeepers around 1pm on Thursday when the bus was driven into the premises. The gatekeeper was said to have seated her on a bench while he made to open the gate for the driver.
He had opened one side of the gate and wanted to open the other side for smooth entrance of the vehicle, when Lamidi got down from the bench and walked into path of the vehicle. She was knocked down by the bus as the driver drove into the school compound. Speaking to a correspondent, a woman who sells drinks opposite the school, revealed that Lamidi’s mother had been relocated due to the trauma caused by the incident. “Everybody was devastated by the incident.
Normally, when a vehicle wants to enter or leave the school premises, the guards open the gate. One opens a side of the gate, while the other opens the other side. But that day, one of the gatekeepers, called Malami, was not around when the school bus blew the horn from outside. “The girl was playing with the available gatekeeper.
He put her on the bench and went to open the gate. As he was opening the other side of the gate, the girl left her seat. She walked into the path of the bus, which hit her. One of the schoolteachers told me that the mother had been taken to one of her relatives,” the woman, who did not want her name in print, said. Also speaking, Leke Adebisi, a resident of the area, blamed the accident on lack of concentration on the part of the driver, adding the Lamidi died shortly after she was admitted in a hospital in the area. He said, “I don’t think the deceased’s family is interested in taking the case up with the school legally.”
The Public Relations Officer, Lagos State Police Command, SP Dolapo Badmos, confirmed the accident, saying investigation had commenced. She said, “An accident occurred at about 1.20pm on Thursday, at the gate of Bessie International School. A Toyota Litace marked, JJJ393BU, knocked down a one and half years old girl standing by the gate. She was rushed to a hospital, where she was confirmed dead. The case is under investigation.
Johannesburg – Six men have been arrested for hijacking and kidnapping two men and a 16-year-old girl and subsequently gang raping the teenager, Johannesburg metro police said on Saturday. Spokesperson Chief Superintendent Wayne Minnaar said 10 men had hijacked a silver grey Mercedes Benz in Jeppe, central Johannesburg, on December 27.
The group then kidnapped the three passengers, placed them in a Quantum minibus, and raped the teenager in full view of the other two victims, before leaving them at an unknown location in Soweto.
Following a tip-off from the car’s tracking company on Friday afternoon, JMPD officers traced the car to Protea Glen in Soweto. Officers arrived to find all 10 of the suspects at the location, replacing the vehicle’s original number plates. Police managed to arrest six of them, while the other four fled the scene in a white VW Polo, Minnaar said. They are still at large.
The six, aged between 26 and 30, were expected to appear in the Protea Magistrate’s Court on Monday on charges of hijacking, kidnapping and rape.
