Shocking! Two Police Officers Allegedly Drugged & R*ped Woman In Police Cell

NairobiNews reports that the woman, who had
been locked up at the station on Monday for
malicious damage, said she was later released
on Sh30,000 police bail pending appearance in
court.
She was arrested by the police for allegedly
destroying a mattress, assorted clothes and
three plastic containers worth Sh70,000
belonging to her husband Henry Kaberia
Karumpa who reported the matter to police.
However, the drama started when she
appeared at the court to plead to the charges,
she was told police had not brought her file in
court. When she went to the station to inquire
about the file, she was re-arrested and locked
up alone in a separate cell. It was during the
period that the two police officers allegedly
r*ped her after drugging her milk.
Defence lawyer Kennedy Nyamokeri accused
police of drugging his client before raping her
and failing to present the cash bail in court.
“Your honour, it is very sad that the accused
woke up in a police cell and realized she had
been $exually assaulted by the same officers
who gave her a packet of milk,” said
Nyamokeri.
He went on: “My application is that the officers
commanding (OCS) Mulika police be
summoned in court in efforts to identify the
rogue officers. Police have not even presented
the cash bail that my client deposited at the
station.”
“l have information that the OCS is even aware
of the heinous act by the officers in the
station, these kind of things should not be
happening in modern Kenya,” said Mr
Nyamokeri.
Mr Wechuli had to release the suspect on free
bond so that she could undergo treatment.
The magistrate ordered Tigania East DCIO to
investigate the matter and accompany the
victim to Meru Teaching and Referral Hospital
for treatment. He also summoned senior police
officers over the r*pe claims.
The court also summoned the OCS Mulika
police station and Tigania East police boss
Charles Koskey to tell the court why police
booked a suspect in custody while she had
deposited a police cash bail and issued a
receipt.
They will appear in court on Monday next week
for the mention of the case.
