15. Lindsey Lohan
Lohan began her acting career at the young age of 3 and hasn’t left
the spotlight since. In her prime she was famous for movies such as The
Parent Trap, Freaky Friday, and Mean Girls. However, in 2006 the
innocent little red head everyone knew was heading down a dark and
dangerous path. For the last 8 years Lohan has been in rehab several
times, she’s been charged with countless DUI’s and has even been give
jail time!
14. Amanda Bynes
Starring in a commercial at the age of 7, Bynes was shot to the
media’s attention before she was even a teenager. She’s appeared in
several stage productions and is most popular for her work on
Nickelodeon on the shows “All That” and “The Amanda Show.” She starred
in several box office fails between 2003 and 2010, before announcing her
retirement from the world of acting in 2012. Since then Bynes has been
brought up on drug charges, several DUI’s, and even started a fire on a
stranger’s front lawn; landing herself in a mental health clinic.
13.Shia LeBeauf
The star of the popular Disney Channel Show, “Even Stevens,” LeBeauf
seemed like he would have a fantastic career after Disney. He seemed to
be on the right track earning roles in the 4th Indiana Jones film and
the Transformers franchise. However, in 2013 and 2014, LeBeauf was
charged with harassment, DUI, and several counts of drug possession.
12. Jodie Sweetin
The adorable little actress who played Stephanie Tanner on the show
“Full House” started to go out of control shortly after the show was
cancelled. She became a meth addict, and in 2009 she wrote a book
outlining her struggle with meth and alcohol.This young boy rose to stardom before the age of 13 after being discovered on YouTube by rapper Usher. Bieber became an icon for young female fans, and the fame quickly went to his head. By the age of 19 he’s been charged with DUI, been arrested for drag racing, and has shown blatant disrespect for fans and authority.
10. Drew Barrymore
Most famous for her role of the cute little girl in E.T; Barrymore
derailed at the young age of 9. It was then that she started smoking, by
11 she was drinking heavily, by 13 she was smoking pot, and by 14 she
was doing cocaine and even went to rehab. She even attempted taking her
own life; luckily, she’s been able to clean up her act in more recent
years.
9. Britney Spears
One of the world’s biggest pop stars, Spears got her start before she
was 10 on Disney’s “Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.” In 2007 she had a complete
mental breakdown, losing her kids, shaving her head, checking into
rehab, and then checking out almost immediately.
8. Demi Lovato
Although the Disney Star is fine now, Lovato has admitted to drug
abuse, self-harm, and an eating disorder. She claims it was the high
demands that Disney placed on her as a young child that caused her
emotional and mental harm.
7. Macauley Culkin
Known to most as the boy from the “Home Alone” franchise, Culkin now
has several drug and alcohol charges on his record. It started after the
franchise wrapped and his failure to anything else as successful as
“Home Alone.”
6. Edward Furlong
As one of the star of “Terminator 2: Judgment Day” Furlong is no
stranger to trouble; whether real or fictional. After getting his big
break as a child he became addicted to heroin and has been arrested for
drug possession and domestic violence.
5. Corey Haim
A teen idol in the 80’s, Haim went off the rails at the age of 15. He
used heavy drugs for most of his life and was in rehab 15 separate
times. Haim relapsed for a final time in 2010 when he died of anoverdose at 38.
4. Gary Coleman
This young star was easily typecast as “adorable and childish” from
his role in Diff’rent Strokes.” Because of this, nothing he did after
ever matched the TV’s shows fame. He filed for bankruptcy in 1999 and
did jail time over charges of drug possession, reckless driving, and
domestic violence. He died at the age of 42 after falling in his home
and suffering a brain hemorrhage.
3. Miley Cyrus
The once innocent girl who starred in “Hannah Montana” no longer
exists. The young star has become a racy adult famous for twerking,
grinding on Robin Thicke at the MTV Music Awards, and music that include
lyrics like “dancing with Molly” (a popular street drug).
2. Dana Plato
Another star of “Diff’rent Strokes,” this gorgeous young woman went
off the deep end, her life ending in tragedy. After trying to establish
herself as a serious actress and failing Plato moved to Vegas and
started using drugs at the age of 14. In 1991 she robbed a video store
near where she was living and was given jail time and five years
probation, along with help for her drug addiction. She died in 1999 in
what was ruled a suicide.
1. Corey Feldman
One of the highest paid child stars of the 80’s, Feldman was the star
of “The Goonies,” “Stand By Me,” and “The Lost Boys.” He attempted to
re-start his career with the TV show “The Two Corey’s with his friend
and former co-star Corey Haim. However, this failed and he fell into a
party life-style where he became a drug addict and alcoholic. He is,
however, one of those who rose above their personal struggle; though
there are few of them. After 10 months in rehab he was able to get clean
and today he is a Father and makes music with his band “Truth
Movement.”
