Non Academic Staff Union (NASU), The Polytechnic Ibadan has commenced an indefinite strike beginning from today, Monday, August 31. This was contained in a communiqué issued and signed by the branch secretary of the union, Mr Ibraheem Adekunle Akande, at the end of a meeting held at the Sports Pavilion, North Campus of the institution on Friday, August 28, 2015. The communiqué read: “The management should as a matter of urgency prevail on the state government to pay all our outstanding salaries and wages from April till date.” It also stated that “henceforth, members’ salaries should be paid in full without the deduction due to the cooperative and members.
